About the Painting:
This painting evolved as I painted. I started with a blue and yellow mix of green paint as the 1st layer. I used acrylic gel medium over the layer, which gave the painting a glass look. I mixed white acrylic paint and an acrylic thickening medium, and then used a pallet knife to partially cover the previous layers.

After it dried I buffed some gray paint into the crevices. I liked the bits of the green that showed through like ice and the textured white looked like a snow storm. After I studied the painting, I could see the beginnings of a wolf face in the snowstorm. So I went with it, and painted the arctic wolf face peering out through the ice and snowstorm of the Arctic north. Enjoy!
