About the drawing:
This is little painting was inspired by cherries bought this summer. I take photos of cherries every summer and never get around to drawing them. This year, they got their portrait. :)
I love the dark maroons and bright reds of the cherries. I decide to use color pencils, rather than my usual graphite, to play with capturing luscious reds & purples of the cherries. I used reds, greens, purples, oranges, and a touch of yellow on this little drawing.
