About the Painting:
This playful painting was a great fun to paint. I layered abstract layers of masking tape and post it notes on a very dark maroon painted base. I lifted random layers and painted them the very lightest pink. As I lifted the next layer, I painted them as darker shade of pink, keeping the first shapes intact. I peeled and painted each layer down to the darkest burgundy. I like the gradation of color from dark to light and the look of confetti falling.
