About the Painting:
My inspiration for this painting is the magnolia trees in bloom right now in my neighborhood. I painted this painting as if you were lucky enough to be looking out your window at the magnolia blossoms.
I used an dark turquoise blue background to give the white petals a clean, crisp spring feel. I used yellows, pinks, and gray mixes for the blossoms as well as a touch of green and brown for the stems.
I used a White Illusions frame to give the painting the feel of looking out the window at the magnolia blossoms.
