About the Painting:
This painting was inspired by blooming hellebores in late winter snow at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa. These beauties were bright welcome pops of spring along the windy & cold snowy path.
I drew this beautiful flower to look like the cold wind is ruffling it petals. I used creamy yellows, purples, and a touch of oranges paints. I decided to make the background dark to help pop the creams and yellows of the flower. The leaves have touches of greens, yellows, blues, and purples.
