About the painting:
There is a peaceful quiet creek that winds through in the woods near by my home. In the spring, all of the early tree leaves and skunk cabbage open up in an symphony of bright greens and yellows. I love the way the sunlight spotlights the newly open plants - like a class act on a stage.
I painted this peaceful painting in the mid morning when the sunshine is peeking through the leaves, as the creek quietly flows around the trees. I used greens and yellows for the spring leaves, as well as browns, blues, purples, and touches of white. Enjoy!
