About the painting:
This miniature mountain painting is partially based on a family member's photos of Yellowstone National Park, and a bit of artistic license. It's sunrise in the mountains with the sun peeking over the ridge and distance mountains. Enough light to start down the trail for discover what lays beyond the mountain curve.

I used blues, yellows, purples and whites for the background mountains & sky. Green, yellow, and black create the layers of pine trees. Dots of yellow and red flowers line the brown and grays of the trail.
